NCR Corporation, previously known as National Cash Register is an American software, managed and professional services, consulting and technology company that also makes self-service kiosks, point-of-sale terminals, automated teller machines, check processing systems, and barcode scanners. NCR had been based in Dayton, Ohio, starting in 1884, but in June 2009 the company sold most of the Dayton properties and moved its headquarters to the Atlanta metropolitan area in unincorporated Gwinnett County, Georgia, near Duluth. In early January 2018, the new NCR Global Headquarters opened in Midtown Atlanta near Technology Square.
On December 2019 a former employee wrote for ambition box a review about NCR Corporation: Manager and mentor will treat fresher as like 10 years experienced employee......they don't know how to treat freshers, they will not bother about freshers career growth....even experienced employee in team will not share knowledge properly and manager and mentor will not take responsibility to deliver knowledge about there product.

People are hired & treated as Slave Gurgaon management works like a puppet & governed by US Management No Development work, most of teams only work on support task Onsite chances are very less,but if u have good term with your managers then yes you have edge over others. Company hire you for development & move you to support and only support. All decision makings are in the hand of US managers. Appraisals are purely unfair & only follows favoritism. Don't expect more than 5% to 7% Before appraisal NCR, realize cost saving and due to that pay hike for your hardship suffers. It is a regular practice YoY. Unfair labor practices (work timings can be changed as per management wish) No standard process & policies HR system is online, no escalation matrix. No physical present to listen your concern. In-fact HR works on the command of Business. NCR India follows one rule-Hell with HR, your manager is always right. Company has no growth plan, every 2 years they change their brand logo, vision, mission But in actual their lost & badly beaten by competitors. In ITS (Gurgaon), Management doesn't prefer to hire people from Outside for Sr.roles as they are afraid of changing their fancy lifestyles & attitude. If u have offer from NCR Corp, think twice before joining. Lot of Foolish Managers are welcoming you to spoil your career."

Pay is just enough so you have to work the massive amounts of forced overtime to survive. There is zero consideration for work/life balance. The training is basically read though this powerpoint, now you're trained.noneeverything"

Though management sets this toxic tone it appears to be passed on to very willing workers who openly practice backwards thinking, including sexism, racism, ageism and all around hatefulness."
Field Service Technician (Former Employee) says"I guess I expected a lot more from a Fortune 500 company, but in actuality, employment with NCR was very disappointing. Initial training was good, but then you're thrown to the wolves to meet production quotas. The pay was extremely low when compared to other companies. Supervisors micro manage employees and often require techs to work 10 days straight with no OT. Techs are often "asked" to work during off days as well. Field Service has major turn over issues due to some of the reasons I just mentioned, so they're always hiring."

If they aren't actually saying it verbally for anything that doesn't work out perfectly, accountability will be reflected in your metrics. Even things that are out of your control, will ultimately affect your numbers, such as parts which are bad out of the box. They also are happy to let you make the difficult choices, then they can complain if it doesn't go perfectly. Poor business model never supports the engineers challenges only complains about them.Sick leaveEverything else"
Customer Success Director (Former Employee) says"Pros : NCR has a relaxed culture Cons: work everyday in the office, no work life balance, must have client calls on your cell phone, outages all the time, no guidance and the retention rate is sky high because of lack of transparency. There is always a secret with someone. Management team cannot make decisions on the spot. Raises are a joke. One can only receive up to 5% of their current salary which turns into 1.2% annually. If you are looking for career advancement and the ability to make a change you should keep looking."

Implementation Leader (Former Employee) says"For a billion dollar company the regional office was outdated by 40 years from office supplies to operational management of inventory. Actual issued technology was outdated by 8-10 years. Surprised even Windows 10 OS was used. Extremely cheap environment that was barely a step up from throw away office furniture. Had to bleach and assemble my own work space with folding picnic table. Building required an exterminator. Admittedly the manager reported hiring was not due to growth and projected success but because of immense back log and quarterly loss as a result. Zero secure access or accountability of employees as well as readily unsecured intellectual property and company assets. Poor representation of being a supposed technology innovator and leader in progressive projects when housed in a dingy damp and humid basement. They handle only small “Mom-n-Pop” needs and nothing of enterprise quality. Be prepared to drive more than get work done.Simple, semi nice co-workers. Pay.Everything else."

Account Executive/Outside Sales (Former Employee) says"NCR is an old line company with a strong history; but it's management has a reputation going back many years as being more interested in meeting the needs of Wall Street rather than it's employees and customers. While I was there, their budgeting and forecasting was absolutely ridiculous. The decision makers that managed to mess up the company seemed to be protected from the results of their decisions, while the employees paid dearly, as in a 300+ Reduction in Force in 2018.Great customersFouled up service, product launches, HR policy, no clear direction."
Shipping and Receiving (Former Employee) says"NCR is a great company for a young person who dont have any kids. I was working there after being a full time student in college. The are really no set hours. Over time opportunities is almost always there but it's not really optional. It was very laid back. They provided tshirt and you could wear whatever color bottoms and shoes you wanted. Fridays & weekends was a fashion show lol. Fridays was team day. Management sucked! Very disorganized; Some days you never know what time you'll leave work or when you will have to stay over until it's about time to go. Most times we wouldnt know if we were working weekends until that Friday. They were always laying off. Chances to get hired on was very slim. I worked there 13 months and returned after layoff for 1 month and was fired after I missed one day. On my separation notice it stated "attendance" but somehow I was still rewarded my bonus that they were rewarding for people who weren't late and only could have one excused absence! There are always bonuses but the come with gags...Like that one lol...For example once we got a $250 bonus but we had to work 16-18 for 2 days and it wasn't optional. But more money! But being that I didn't have kids or responsibilities I would like the money just not my days being tied up that long"

Customer Engineer II (Current Employee) says"NCR is a good company overall. They will hire without any skill sets and push OJT onto the technicians who have stuck around. Work on lots of stuff and they expect you to fix most things in 30mins to a hour regardless of the complexity. They send your performance numbers out to everyone on the team and shows your ranking to everyone which causes a lot of animosity between teammates.Company vehicle, gas card, laptop, cellphone, benifitsLong nights, rotating hours and days, no local management, very small pay increases and no bonuses, work all holidays have to schedule vacation a year in advance."

Fixing IT customer issues so they can continue productivity for the working day. Its a really fun place to work and learn about different IT equipment ( new and legacy) you meet new people every single day and interact with different nationalities. If you want to get some hand on experience in IT hardware and you don't mind the traveling this is definitely the place."
